How to have the best galentines

If you don’t have a man this Valentine’s Day, that doesn’t mean you cant have the best Valentine’s Day! Grab your closest friends, siblings, or even do it solo! Here’s how to have the best galentines!

P.s I would do this every occasion with my gals, it doesn’t even have to be Valentine’s Day! EVERYDAY IS GALENTINES DAY!

Galentines date ideas

1. Pottery painting

Whether it’s in a studio, or you get pottery to paint at home, this is such a cute idea.

I’m thinking pink bows, red love hearts, flowers, etc. And you’re going to finish February 14th with the cutest mugs / bowls / whatever you decide to paint.

How to romanticise:

Wear matching pj’s with all of your gals
Play music that you can all sing along too
Take pictures of all of your masterpieces at the end of the night
Drink your favourite drinks together

2. Cook dinner (pizza / pasta)

There’s nothing more wholesome than making dinner together with your gals, and then sitting down and eating delicious food.

You could even go one step further and make your food valentines themed. Like making your pizza heart shaped, or sprinkling a heart over your pasta with cheese.

How to romanticise:

Blast music in the kitchen and all sing along
Allocate duties to everyone so they all feel included (leave the cheese grating to the ones who can’t cook to save their lives lol)
Wear matching pj’s
Light candles and dim the lights
Sip on your favourite drinks throughout the night

3. Chick flick marathon

Gather all of your favourite movies, make sure everyone loves the movie line up, and enjoy.

4. Themed food platters

We have all seen the TikTok’s of everyone bringing a different themed food platter, such as ‘anything red’, ‘fruit platter’, ‘ ‘chocolate platter’, ‘cheese platter’.

This is also a great idea if anyone is a picky eater. It means that there is always going to be something for someone!

How to romanticise:

Think of themes that are unique to your friendships
Don’t hold back! Have fun with the boards and go all out!
Film it on TikTok! Just look at TikTok as a video diary for all of your memories and do not care what anyone thinks!

5. Games

Whether it’s board games, card games, quiz games, you name it, it will make your galentines so fun!

Maybe you play games whilst you’re waiting for your food, whether you’re cooking or getting something delivered. It’s something fun to add to your night.
