If you don’t want to spend loads of money on beauty products, but you do want good quality stuff that you won’t regret buying… keep reading. These are the 5 beauty products that I can’t live without, and are definitely worth the money!
Elf – halo glow liquid filter
I will never stop raving about this product!!
Depending on the shade you get, this product can be used in multiple different ways!
To top it off, it contains squalene and hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and moisturises your face. It also contains finely milled powders, which blur fine lines and pores!!
So not only are you looking glowy and hydrated, you are looking airbrushed and flawless too!!
Bronzer
If you’re wanting a liquid bronzer, that blends easily, looks like you’ve actually been kissed by the sun, and is buildable in colour… this is perfect.
Just choose a shade that is darker than your skin tone!
Different ways you can apply it as a bronzer:
- Dot it on your face. This is my preferred method, because you can build the colour easily, as well as be precise about where you are wanting to look bronzed. I use a stippling brush to blend it out, however you can also use a beauty blender or different types of blending brushes.
- I have found that using a stippling brush keeps the most amount of pigment!
- Mix it with moisturiser. If you are wanting bronzing drop dupes… here they are. Mixing this with your moisturiser gives the perfect, natural glow if you’re wanting your overall face to be bronzed and glowy!
Skin tint
Skin tints are perfect if you’re not wanting anything too heavy or full coverage.
Using this as a skin tint is perfect, because it evens out your skin tone, and gives you an amazing natural glow!
On the days you want to have a no make up makeup look, this is perfect!
Highlighter
You can also use this on top of makeup as a highlighter!
It has little shimmers in it, which you can barely see. This makes the highlighter super natural, and almost like you are glowing from within, because you can’t detect the shimmers!!
The body shop – sheer touch lip and cheek tint
https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/makeup/lips/sheer-touch-lip-cheek-tint/p/p119010
Are you wanting a lip and cheek product that will last you FOREVER on your lips and cheeks, as well as in the tube? (not literally, but it certainly feels like it).
Then this product is 100% worth the money!!!
The colour you get depends on your preferences and what you like. There are 5 different shades to choose from, so I’m sure you’ll find one you love!
The applicator means that you can be very precise with this product, so much so that you can literally line your lips with it!
How to use:
- Lips
- You can apply the product directly onto your lips, keeping the full coverage. This will mean throughout the day, as you’re eating and drinking it will fade into a less pigmented tint.
- You can apply it to your lips and blend it in with your finger. This will mean the colour is less vibrant, and you will have a tint that will last you all day.
- You can line your lips (this is what I do). I line my top and bottom lip, and pat it in, meaning I have the perfect ‘my lips but better’ colour, making my lips appear naturally plump.
- Tip: adding gloss on top of the tint will make your lips look so plump and juicy!
- Cheeks
- This one is pretty self explanatory, apply it to your cheeks. Depending on how much you use depends on the coverage and pigment of the product. The best thing about this product is how pigmented it is, because it will last you so long!
- Tip: from experience, I would recommend applying this under your makeup, as I have found it moves around the makeup underneath if you apply it on top! However, that being said, I don’t want that to takeaway from the product. Even wearing this underneath natural makeup, it is very pigmented, and will last you all day!
Elf – brow lift
If you’re looking for a brow gel, that makes you look like you have laminated brows, this is for you.
I use this everyday, and no product has made my brows stick up this much!
Saying it’s worth the money is a no brainer, because it’s literally £6! You can’t go wrong!
Brows are so important (in my opinion) for making you look more awake, giving more shape to your face and just adding the finishing touch to either your makeup, or your face if you’re not wearing any makeup.
Tip:
I will say, they key to this product is after you have applied the product through your brows, you need to press them down with either your finger or the flat side of a spoolie brush.
This will make them stick to your face and look laminated!
This Product will last you a long time because you only need small amounts when using it!
L’Oréal – true match concealer
If you have dark under eyes and are wanting a concealer to brighten that area… get this.
It isn’t thick or too much coverage, so it feels really lightweight underneath your eyes.
It does a perfect job of brightening up the area, without creasing and looking too heavy.
The undertone of this concealer is a salmon pink colour, meaning it counteracts the blue, purple and green colours of dark under eye circles.
This means it’s perfect for under your eyes!
Especially if you are just using this for under your eyes, it’s going to last you ages, so it’s definitely worth the money!!
N07 – perfect light pressed powder
If you have dry skin, but you still want to set your concealer and minimise pores… this will be your best friend.
Firstly, let’s talk about the packaging.
It comes in a compact container, with a decent sized mirror inside, as well as a powder sponge. Although you don’t have to use the sponge it comes with during your everyday makeup, when you’re out and about, and don’t want to bring an extra brush / sponge with you, it’s great to have that!
It’s perfect for on the go!
Secondly, and the most important, what is the powder actually like?
Those who may relate, I am a dry skin girl, and don’t like powders that cling to any dry sections, or make my skin look powdery. This powder doesn’t do that!
The best things about this powder:
- It minimises the appearance of pores
- It doesn’t look like there’s any powder on your face (apart from it being matte)
- It sets your concealer in place
- It doesn’t cause any creasing under the eyes
